- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of melted unsalted butter, ⅓ cup of vegetable oil, ¾ cup of granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Add 1 to 1½ cups of mashed ripe bananas to the wet mixture and stir gently to incorporate.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Fold in 1 to 1½ cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top, then bake for 50-60 minutes.
- If the top browns too quickly, tent with aluminum foil.
- Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
For best results, use ripe bananas and mix until just combined to avoid a dense loaf. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
