Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan, lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of melted unsalted butter, ⅓ cup of vegetable oil, ¾ cup of granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Add 1 to 1½ cups of mashed ripe bananas to the wet mixture and stir gently to incorporate.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in 1 to 1½ cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top, then bake for 50-60 minutes.
  8. If the top browns too quickly, tent with aluminum foil.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
