  • 1 pound Sirloin Steak or ribeye or filet mignon
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or any neutral oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly cracked
For the Ravioli
  • 20 ounces Refrigerated Cheese Ravioli or other fillings like beef, mushroom, or butternut squash
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Dry White Wine or beef or chicken broth
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil until shimmering.
  3. Sear the seasoned steak for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned, then rest.
  4. In a pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook cheese ravioli according to package instructions (3-5 minutes).
  5. Return skillet to medium heat, melt butter, and sauté onion until softened.
  6. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, then pour in white wine to deglaze the skillet.
  7. Add beef broth and cream, stirring to combine, and simmer until sauce thickens (3-4 minutes).
  8. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  9. Slice the rested steak and toss it with the cooked ravioli and creamy sauce.
  10. Serve on plates, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
