Ingredients

Filling
  • 1 can Canned Tuna Drained; substitute with cooked salmon or chicken for variety.
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise Can replace with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard Regular yellow mustard can be used.
  • 1 stalk Celery Diced; alternatives include bell peppers or pickles.
  • 2 tablespoons Red Onion Diced; substitute with green onions for milder flavor.
Wrap
  • 2 pieces Whole Wheat Wrap Other tortillas or wraps can be used.
  • 1 cup Cheese Shredded; consider vegan cheese for plant-based diets.
  • 1 cup Lettuce/Spinach Optional based on preference.

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard. Add finely diced celery and red onion. Stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Lay a whole wheat wrap flat. Spoon a portion of the tuna mixture in the center, spreading it out slightly while leaving space around the edges. Top with shredded cheese and lettuce or spinach.
  3. Fold the sides of the wrap inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to encase the filling completely.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Place the wrap seam-side down in the hot skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once both sides are golden and crispy, remove the wrap from the skillet, allow to cool slightly, and slice in half for serving.
