Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the sauce mix: In a mixing bowl, combine low-sodium soy sauce, Thai chili sauce, toasted sesame oil, and Chinese 5-spice powder. Whisk until blended.
  2. Cook the beef filling: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and ginger; sauté for 2 minutes. Pour in sauce mix, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Warm the wrappers: If using tortillas, warm in a skillet for 30 seconds each side. If using rice paper, soften sheets in warm water for 10 seconds.
  4. Assemble the rolls: Place a wrapper on a surface, add beef filling, julienned cucumbers, cilantro, basil, green onions, and peanuts. Fold and roll tightly.
  5. Prepare dipping sauce (optional): Mix honey, ketchup, chili paste, lime zest, lime juice, and rice vinegar in a bowl until smooth.
  6. Serve immediately: Arrange rolls on a plate with dipping sauce.
