  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for flavor
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 green onion scallions sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Add sliced scallions, reserving some for garnish. Mix until beef is well coated.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked through.
  5. Serve over cooked rice and top with reserved scallions and kimchi if desired.
