  • 1/2 cup Sun-dried Tomatoes Roasted red peppers can serve as a smoky substitute.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Use as a garnish.

  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Feel free to omit for a milder sauce.

Equipment

Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add frozen tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually 3-5 minutes until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. In a large skillet, combine 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of chicken broth over medium heat. Stir frequently and allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes until thicken slightly.
  3. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Continue to simmer for another 3-4 minutes until flavors meld together.
  4. Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss gently in the sauce. Gradually stir in reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
  5. Serve in bowls garnished with freshly chopped basil and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
