  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil can be substituted with any cooking oil
For the Crust
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese freshly grated is ideal
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs regular breadcrumbs can be used
For the Garlic Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) adjust based on preference
  • 1 cup Light or Heavy Cream use half-and-half for a lighter option
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning or Oregano can be swapped with preferred herb blend
  • 1/2 cup Additional Parmesan Cheese grated or shredded based on preference
  • 1 cup Spinach (chopped, optional) omit if preferred

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in the Parmesan and panko mixture, pressing firmly for an even coating.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the cream and stir in the Italian seasoning, then add spinach if using, and let it wilt.
  7. Add the additional Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Cover the skillet and cook the chicken through for 8-10 minutes, checking that it reaches 165°F internally.
  9. Plate the chicken and spoon the creamy garlic sauce over it before serving.
