  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce or soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar or honey
For the Toast
  • 1 package Garlic Texas Toast or thick slices of French baguette/ciabatta
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese or pepper jack
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese or cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or any fresh herbs

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 pound of ground beef for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  2. Stir in 1 diced onion and 3 minced garlic cloves, cooking for 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of tomato sauce, 1/4 cup of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven's broiler and arrange the garlic Texas toast on a baking sheet, broiling for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Spoon the beef filling over each slice of toasted garlic bread, packing it well.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the toast and return to the broiler for 1-2 minutes until melted.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
