Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure optimal baking.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet to approximately 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard evenly across the rolled-out puff pastry.
  4. Layer slices of ham evenly over the mustard, followed by shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Carefully roll the pastry tightly into a log shape starting from one of the longer sides.
  6. Chill the rolled pastry in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  7. Slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch thick pinwheels using a sharp knife.
  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place each pinwheel on it.
  9. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  10. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
