  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or almond flour/gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parsley fresh, chopped
  • 2 cloves minced garlic or garlic powder as substitute
  • 1/2 cup red onion finely chopped, shallots can be used
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar as substitute
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking

Cooking Instructions
  1. Prepare Salmon: Place cooked salmon into a large mixing bowl and flake if fresh.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the salmon. Season with salt and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Shape Patties: Form the mixture into 4 to 6 patties about ¾ inch thick and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Cook Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Transfer cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate, serve with tzatziki sauce or a side salad.
