Crust Preparation

- Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, fresh lemon juice, and salt in a clean mixing bowl until smooth (2-3 minutes).
- Pour the lemon filling into the cooled crust and bake for 10 minutes until just set.
- Let it cool completely at room temperature and then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.
Topping and Serving
- In a chilled mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread or pipe the whipped cream topping over the pie. Garnish with lemon zest or slices.
- Slice and serve chilled.
