Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper or non-stick spray.
  2. Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 to 40 seconds until liquified.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, 1 cup of sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
  4. Sift in ⅓ cup cocoa powder, ½ cup flour, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon baking powder, and 1 tablespoon coffee granules. Stir gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool the brownies in the pan for at least 30 minutes to ensure ideal texture before frosting.
  7. For the frosting, mix 1 tablespoon coffee granules with 2 tablespoons heavy cream until dissolved. Beat together ½ cup softened butter with 1 cup powdered sugar, then mix in the coffee-cream until smooth.
