Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper or non-stick spray.
- Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 to 40 seconds until liquified.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, 1 cup of sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
- Sift in ⅓ cup cocoa powder, ½ cup flour, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon baking powder, and 1 tablespoon coffee granules. Stir gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool the brownies in the pan for at least 30 minutes to ensure ideal texture before frosting.
- For the frosting, mix 1 tablespoon coffee granules with 2 tablespoons heavy cream until dissolved. Beat together ½ cup softened butter with 1 cup powdered sugar, then mix in the coffee-cream until smooth.
- Spread the frosting evenly on cooled brownies and slice into squares.

Notes
Stir dry ingredients just until blended to keep brownies tender and fudgy. Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing.
