  3. Pour the warm apple mixture into the greased baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the apple filling in the pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 38-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown. A toothpick should come out clean.
  7. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
