Ingredients
  

Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 2 packages (8 oz) Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar both white and brown sugar work
  • 1 large Egg or flaxseed meal mixed with water for vegan option
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract or vanilla bean paste for richness
Dough Base
  • 2 cans (8 oz) Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls gluten-free option available

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar with 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon. Stir well until fully blended, and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together 2 packages of softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly across the bottom.
  4. Unroll the first can of Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls and press the dough into the prepared pan, sealing seams well.
  5. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough layer.
  6. Open the second can of crescent rolls and place it on top of the cream cheese filling. Seal seams carefully.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over the top layer of dough. Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden brown and set.
