Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Chocolate Milk Tea
  1. Begin by boiling water in a kettle until it reaches a rolling boil. Pour the hot water over a black tea bag in a heat-proof glass and steep for 5-7 minutes.
  2. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and add the boba pearls. Cook according to package instructions, about 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and mix with 2 tablespoons of dry hot cocoa mix and 2 tablespoons of brewed tea. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk together half and half and remaining dry hot cocoa mix until smooth. Use a milk frother or shake in a jar for a foamy texture.
  4. For a cold drink, fill a glass with ice, pour in cooled black tea and chocolate milk mixture, and add boba. For hot, combine warm chocolate milk and steaming tea in a mug.
