Ingredients

  • 1 medium ripe mango Look for fresh mango; frozen mango is a great alternative.
  • 1/2 medium ripe avocado Choose avocados that yield slightly to pressure.
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice Fresh-squeezed enhances sweetness, store-bought works too.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen spinach Adds nutrients without impacting flavor dramatically.
  • a few fresh mint leaves Best for that refreshing touch.
  • a few ice cubes Use for chill and frothiness; skip if using frozen fruit.

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Start by cutting one ripe mango and half an avocado into small pieces. Set aside.
  2. In your blender, add the chopped mango and avocado pieces along with one cup of fresh orange juice. Blend well.
  3. Add a handful of fresh spinach and a few mint leaves to the blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend again until you achieve a delightful, creamy consistency.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and garnish with additional mint leaves. Serve immediately.
