Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Add broccoli for the last 2 minutes.
  2. Before draining, reserve ½ cup of pasta water. Drain pasta and broccoli.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Lower heat and add Boursin cheese, stirring until melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Gradually whisk in heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Adjust with reserved pasta water for desired consistency, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine drained pasta and broccoli with the sauce, tossing gently for 1-2 minutes. Mix in Parmesan cheese if desired.
  7. Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh herbs and lemon zest.
