Basic Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, eggs, sour cream, water, and vegetable oil. Mix to a smooth batter.
- For the crumb topping, mix brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon, then cut in melted butter until crumbly.
- Pour half of the batter into the baking dish, sprinkle with half of the crumb topping.
- Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the crumb topping.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before glazing.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the optional glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake and slice into squares to serve.
